Saigon, Hanoi, Hue hotels - Hanoi: 600 more hotel rooms to be available

Hanoi will have an additional 600 standard hotel rooms made available in the remaining months of the year, according to the city’s Tourism Department.

Of the total, Inter Continental, a five-star hotel, will provide 350 rooms while Somerset Hoa Binh will offer 100 rooms.

At present, Hanoi is housing 508 hotels with a total of 12,659 rooms. The city has given nod to the construction of five five-star hotels totally worth 1.24 billion USD, capable of providing 2,200 rooms.

The city is also calling for investment into the building of two other high-grade hotels in Thuong Thanh (Long Bien District) and Dai Kim (Hoang Mai District).

First six-star hotel to be built in Vietnam

Vinpearl Trade Joint Stock Company said it is going to build the first six-star hotel in Vietnam, in central Khanh Hoa province.

The 150-room hotel will cover 25ha of land at Bai Soi, one of the most beautiful beaches on Hon Tre island, offshore the beach resort city of Nha Trang.

The company announced that it has terminated a brand name leasing contract with the Accor group, one of the world’s largest hotel companies, for the existing Sofitel Vinpearl Resort and Spa. The five-star hotel complex will be renamed as Vinpearl Resort and Spa under the management of Vinpearl Hotel Management Company.

Vinpearl’s head of board of directors Nguyen Trong Hien said the company is striving to build its own brand, Vinpearl Land, carrying Vietnamese spirit and value.
